At Scott Robins Edutainment, we provide entertainment with a purpose. When you hire us for your next event, you help support wild parrot conservation programs, rainforest conservation programs, education programs at schools, and help us rescue and provide a home for macaws and other parrots that are no longer wanted as pets.

We are based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. Our beautiful parrots are available for School Programs, Strolling Entertainment, Parties, Fairs, Festivals, Trade Shows, and Film and Commercial Work.
About Us

Production Team and Animal Care and Training
Scott Robins

Scott has produced and presented animal related edutainment for thousands of guests and school children. As a professional trainer, Scott conducts seminars on positive reinforcement training at major universities and is a guest speaker for  veterinary conferences regularly. Scott previously worked as Curator and Biologist for Rainforest Café Corporation, Biologist and Educator for the Wildlife Education Foundation, and brings over 20 years of knowledge and animal experience to his programs.

Scott  uses positive reinforcement training with his birds and animals. It is respectful of the animal or birds intelligence. Learning is rapid. With a clicker in hand and a variety of rewards (including treats and lots of love), we develop a common language that both the trainer and animals can understand. To learn more about our training methods, Scott is available for speaking appearances. This method of training works with just about any animal. Scott has been training dogs and parrots with clickers for years.

Nadine and our children help provide day to day care of our birds and animals. They also assist me with training and socialization. Our kids also provide unconditional love to our animals and birds and they constantly sneak extra treats to them! Their assistance is invaluable.

Education Team
Michael Meyerhoff PhD. and Eilene Meyerhoff MSed.
Michael and Eilene serve as our educational consultants. This helps to ensure that we are delivering a clear message for our school programs and that our content is age appropriate.

Each one of our birds is examined annually.  We require an annual blood work up and fecal exam. We  also test for Psittacosis, PBFD, and Polyoma. Periodic veterinary inspections are welcomed to insure that we maintain the highest standards for animal care.

We weigh our birds frequently to monitor food intake and to watch for any signs of potential stress.
